About me
I completed my integrated Masters in Biochemistry with a First from the University of York in 2022. My Final year research project involved characterising the structure and function of a novel Bacteriophage tail protein using a combination of Alphafold2, Cyro EM and Crystallography data.
My Project
My PhD involves using computational protein design and prediction software to modify a scaffold protein (SHIRT) to bind targets of interest with high affinity whilst remaining highly stable in non-native conditions. Candidate proteins will be expressed and tested for viability within a point-of-use Biosensor.
