Cloud-SPAN Prenomics and Genomics, Mar 2022

Free, on-line courses. Optional for DTP PGRs.

Are you a UK based researcher who needs to analyse more genomic data than your own computer can handle?

If you would like to use High Performance Computing for genomics but don’t know where to start then the our Prenomics and Genomics courses are for you! The courses are free and online.

Prenomics 8th and 9th March 2022, 10:00-13:00.

We have found that people taking the Genomics course vary in their experience of navigating file systems and using the command line. We have designed the two half-day Prenomics course to allow more time for those with less experience to cover some foundation concepts. We have a short quiz you can use to help you decide whether to do Prenomics: Self-assessment quiz

Genomics 14th, 16th, 21st and 23rd March 2022, 10:00-13:00

Over four-half-day sessions you will learn: Project management for cloud genomics; Data preparation and organisation; Assessing read quality and trimming reads; filtering reads; and Finding sequence variants.

There are a limited number of diversity scholarships available for both courses!
