On-line skills: Adapting to patchwork routines: 1 July 2020

This is the first of our DTP on-line skills sessions designed especially for you.  This series of skills workshops has been co-ordinated on your behalf by Emily Goodall, training manager from Sheffield, together with your DTP Student Reps.

This session is designed to help you prepare for a different way of working.

As campuses, labs and facilities start to re-open, many of you will be planning a return to practical work. However, there are likely to be restrictions in place as social distancing and safety take priority.  You may be asked to work in shift patterns, with a good chunk of PhD work still taking place remotely.

During this online skills session we will explore time management, procrastination and share your expertise from the last few months of working from home, e.g. online conferences, online training, along with the tools/techniques and activities that have kept you going!!

This is an optional course for all years.  If you think this would be useful to you, please join us:
