The Academy of Medical Sciences Grants and Programmes internship scheme is now open for applications for internships beginning from October 2023.

Applications are welcomed for 3 month internships between October 2023 and September 2024. The scheme is open to BBSRC-funded PhD students through the PIPS scheme. The deadline for applications is 4 July 2023.
The scheme is designed to give students first-hand experience of the research funding and career development sectors, and to build valuable networks with the UK’s most eminent medical scientists and senior science and health stakeholders. We have a booklet of case studies of previous holders of both our grants and programmes and policy internships here which has more information on the kind of work our interns can get involved with.
I’m very happy to discuss further with anyone that may be interested. Most staff are hybrid working currently. We can consider fully remote internships, however interns can also use our office at 41 Portland Place, London.
