Reproducibility in science: The use and abuse of statistics + New Year Drinks

As part of your mandatory training, all 1st Year DTP and CASE students (Oct 2017 intake) will be required to attend this DTP training module. For NPIF students, attendance is optional.

The course covers probability and basic univariate statistics that are applicable in Phd projects in the DTP area. There is also an introduction to multivariate methods, including clustering and principal components analysis. Theory is covered in lectures and practical sessions introduce these methods using the R statistical software environment.
