Towards enhancing crop yields on acid, phosphate-poor soils through an increased understanding of memechanism in aluminium-activated anion channels

After graduating with an MSci in Biology and Chemistry from Durham University I joined Leeds White Rose DTP to work with Prof. Steve Baldwin, Prof. Alison Baker, and Dr Stephen Muench to study the structure and function of aluminium-resistance proteins in plants.

I have been a postgraduate rep within the faculty and been involved in outreach activities with the Discovery Zone at Leeds. I was part of the winning team for the Molecules to Market business competition and hosted a seminar from Dr Robert Pal of Durham University and FScan.
